Jaime Y Los Chamacos

With unparalleled skill, style, and accordion acrobatics, Jaime De Anda Y Los Chamacos are unstoppable on the stage. Incorporating complex choreography while simultaneously singing and playing the accordion is a trademark of De Anda's performances. The energy of Jaime Y Los Chamacos is magnetic, and the resulting stage show amazes audiences and keeps them shouting for more. While their showmanship is impressive, it is often surpassed by the quality of the music and the skills of De Anda and the band. Family and tradition have always been a large part in the music Los Chamacos play, especially within the De Anda family. Jaime's father, Raul de Anda, formed the family band that included young Jaime and his cousins in the 1970s. Los Chamacos went through several name and roster changes, officially becoming Jaime y Los Chamacos in 1989 when Raul de Anda retired from the road. Incorporating rock and pop into their traditional Conjunto sound, Jaime Y Los Chamacos connect with listeners from every generation. With numerous hit songs, television appearances, five Grammy nominations, TTMA Show Band of the Year and Male Entertainer of the year awards, Jaime De Anda Y Los Chamacos remain one of the most popular Conjunto bands in Texas, Mexico, and beyond.
